Adding a journal entry in TAS provides several advantages:

🌐 Steps to Add a Journal Entry in TAS

Follow these steps to add a journal entry:

1. ➕ Use the Global Add Button

  • On the TAS Dashboard, click on the Global Add Button (usually located at the top right corner of the screen).

  • Select + Journal Entry from the dropdown menu.

2. 📋 Fill in Journal Entry Details

  • A pop-up window will appear. Fill in the following details:

    • 📅 Journal Date: Specify the date for the journal entry.

    • 📄 Account: Select the account to be credited or debited.

    • 💳 Debit and Credit Amounts: Enter the amounts for debit and credit.

    • 👤 Name: Enter the name related to the journal entry (e.g., vendor, customer).

3. ➕ Add New Account (Optional)

  • If you need to add a new account, click on + Add New Account in the pop-up window.

  • Provide the following details:

    • 🏷️ Account Type: Select the type of account.

    • 📄 Details Type: Specify the details type.

    • 💱 Currency: Choose the currency for the account.

    • 📝 Description: Enter a description for the account.

  • Once all fields are completed, click Save and New to add the account.

4. 💾 Save the Journal Entry

  • Once all the information is filled in, click 💾 Save to add the journal entry to your records.
